TY JONES

This project is for the construction of a single family house set within the grounds of an existing 1960's house in the market town of Cowbridge South Wales.

The site was a large garden with mature Scots Pine trees to the south, a park to the east and an existing access road to the west. 

Our approach was to create a sustainable family house which maximises the views over the park and integrates with the Scots pine trees. We secured planning permission with a timber clad two storey house with an L shaped ground floor plan. The ground floor housed the master bedroom, children’s bedrooms, bathrooms,  garage and workshop. On the first floor was the open plan double height living areas with access onto large terrace which overlooked the parkland.
